The German American Societies of San Diego were founded on May 8th, 1965 and the Club house is located in El Cajon. We are a German American social club that keeps the German traditions alive.

We have different groups that contribute to our club life. The Damenkreis, where the ladies meet regularly, the Karneval Group, that celebrates Karneval (German Mardi Gras) with several events throughout the year and whose members take part in Karneval celebrations from San Diego to Anaheim, Las Vegas and more. Our choir is called “Germania Choir”, we have German Language Classes, Skat (German card game gatherings). Our events include the annual Oktoberfest, Open House, Balls, Dances, Concerts and Fests throughout the year.

Mission

For more than 50 years The German American Societies of San Diego’s mission has been to unite Germans and other nationalities interested in German culture through various social, cultural, and educational activities and to foster and enjoy good fellowship and mutual respect between peoples from all cultures.
