KOMM SING MIT UNS
Come sing with us
John Howard, Director
David Castel de Oro, Pianist
We are the GERMANIA CHOIR of the
German-American Societies of San Diego, Inc.
We are a group of singers who are dedicated to keeping our German heritage and traditions alive through our love of music and singing. We not only harmonize at the Clubhouse, but also perform publicly, especially during the Holiday season and visits to other German clubs. Songs are sung in German. We practice every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the G.A.S. clubhouse. Join with us today!
Come
and learn German with us here at the German-American Societies Club House
in El Cajon. Erna Duby is teaching the class. She has been a German instructor
for a long time.
Many years ago, Erna used to substitute in Charlotte Evens' German class here at the club whenever she traveled to Germany. Currently, Erna is teaching German at Grossmont College.
So come and join us every Tuesday from 5pm-7pm and have fun learning German. We look forward to seeing you at the club.
Note: After summer break the school will start again Oct. 16, 2008.
Skat players meet every Thursday at 7:00pm This German card game dates back prior to 1818. The first American Skat League was founded in St. Louis, Missouri in 1898.
Should you have time and feel like being part of all kinds of projects at the club, well, just show up on Tuesdays and join Willie (Club Manager) and his work crew:
Hans Renter, Shane Shea, Babe Cox, Earl Dickie, Abe Mesa and ?you?
For more information call Willie at these phone numbers: (619) 208-1682 or (619) 445-2549.
Your ideas, expertise, and your helping hands are always appreciated! The motto - "One for all and all for one" - will make a big impact on the condition and a good appearance of our aging club, which is in need of constant repair and upkeep to function correctly.
